- On September 11, 2010, members of our Mother of Good Counsel Home staff and families of our residents will participate in the St. Louis Alzheimer's Memory Walk. June: Resident Appreciation Month!
Our Residents are the Heart of our Home and it has been with great joy that we have celebrated them this month.
- Spa Day
On Spa Day, the residents were treated to massages, soothing music, and relaxation.
- Ice Cream Social
Ice Cream and time together make a great summer combination.
- Talent Show
The staff displayed their talent to the residents and one another in the 2010 staff talent show.

- Spirit of Mother M. Anselma Dinner
On May 16, 2010 at Norwood Hills Country Club the Sisters hosted their annual Spirit of Mother M. Anselma Dinner to raise funds for the continued operation of the Home. The Mother M. Anselma award was given to all priests and accepted on their behalf by Cardinal Justin Rigali. We thank all of our generous benefactors for their support!

- Junior League Larks
This fantastic group of singers entertained our residents with great style and class!
- May Crowning
One of the highlights of the year is the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary. With song and the praying of the Rosary, we gathered to give honor to our Lady.
- Mother's Day Mass and Brunch
On May 9, 2010 after the 10:00am Mass in honor of Mary, Mother of Good Counsel, families and friends gathered for our annual Mother's Day Brunch. We enjoyed this time of fellowship and prayer as we recognized the beautiful gift given to each of us by our mothers!

In these beautiful spring days, we are blessed with space to stroll and sit, enjoying the beauty of God's creation.

- Performance of the Muny Kids! -
On March 6, we were delighted to have the Muny Kids perform their show, Imagine That, for the residents. It was a stunning performance and the resident were rivited to the children as they performed many familiar musical numbers. Many heads were bobbing, feet were tapping, and smiles pervaded the room! - Celebrating Staff Appreciation Month!
We have dedicated the month of October to recognizing the staff of the Mother of Good Counsel Home. We have had various activities throughout the month and have joined together to rejoice in the privilege we have of caring for the residents of the Home. Please join us in thanking all of the staff for their generous service.

- A Visit from Santa - 2009
A yearly tradition, the visit from Jolly ol' Saint Nick, had our residents and their families smiling once again!

- Reverend Mother Margaretha Maria visits from Germany!
On October 1, 2009 Mother Margaretha Maria visited the Home during her trip to the United States. It was a joy to have her with us as she looked at the results of the recent renovation and construction. We thank her heartily for her support and encouragement of our service here!

- Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
On September 12, 2009, members of our Mother of Good Counsel Home staff and families of our residents joined in the St. Louis Alzheimer's Memory Walk. We care deeply for those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Here at the Home there is a monthly Alzheimer's Support Group meeting. Please call us to request more information about joining. We also have information on the Education courses offered by the Alzheimer's Association. On October 11, 2009 Mass was celebrated honoring those residents celebrating years of married love in conjunction with the Mass celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
